Amanda Jewell

Director of First Impressions & Client Service Coordinator

Amanda is originally from New Jersey, but moved down to Richmond with her husband of 16 yrs, in 2016. Together they have 2 fun loving boys, Jack, age 11, and Hunter, age 4. They love to spend time outdoors at the park, working in the yard caring for a variety of hydrangeas and sunflowers, or renovating their 1960’s ranch. They are preparing to embark on a bathroom renovation, wish them luck!

Outside of work, Amanda enjoys roller skating. Though she admits she is not very skilled, her enthusiasm and determination remain unwavering!

What do you enjoy most about being a team member of Ray Olson, LLC? Amanda takes pride in working with a remarkable team that values and genuinely cares for one another and their clients. In today’s fast-paced world, she finds inspiration in the personal touch the team delivers and feels deeply grateful to be part of such a supportive and impactful group.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received? Amanda firmly believes that “Everything is figure-out-able.” Although it may not yet be a recognized word, she champions its sentiment. Amanda has observed how humans often place a false sense of urgency on tasks, sometimes at the expense of well-being. She strives to assess urgency thoughtfully, responding calmly and effectively without panic. By adopting a solution-oriented approach, Amanda remains focused on maintaining balance and putting this mindset into practice every day.

When you are not at the office, you can often be found doing what? Amanda loves spending quality time baking with their two boys, Jack and Hunter. Jack shines as a great sous chef, while Hunter adds his own creative flair by adding sprinkles to everything. Together, they are currently obsessed with perfecting their cookies and cakes, creating both delicious treats and cherished memories in the process.

What is your favorite quote and why? Amanda is inspired by the quote from Leo Buscaglia: “Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.” This philosophy resonates deeply with Amanda, who finds joy in brightening someone’s day through small yet meaningful acts of kindness.

For what in life do you feel most grateful? Amanda is deeply grateful for her family and friends, feeling blessed to have a caring, kind, and unique circle of people who make life both interesting and fun. She also cherishes their sense of humor, which adds lightness and joy to everyday moments.

What is your favorite place in the world and why? Burlington, Vermont, holds a special place in Amanda’s heart as her favorite destination. Discovered accidentally with her husband during their honeymoon, this charming city along Lake Champlain captivated them with its beauty. The sunsets defy description and remain unforgettable. Amanda encourages everyone to visit Burlington at least once to experience its magic.

Why do you do what you do? Amanda is passionate about helping others and fostering meaningful connections. Known for her upbeat and caring personality, she has a natural talent for setting people at ease and creating a welcoming environment.

What professional achievement are you most proud of and why? The professional achievement Amanda is most proud of is graduating from Culinary School. This experience not only shaped her creativity and ability to work under pressure, but also deepened her love for bringing people together. While she didn’t pursue a culinary career, she continues to enjoy cooking and teaching her children the fundamentals.

If you could spend the day with anyone, who would it be and what would you like to learn? Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband, who makes her laugh more than anyone else. With two small children and both working, a full day together without the kids is rare. If given the chance, they’d spend the day learning how to kayak.
